No — we are based in Lahore, Pakistan, and work with Austin remotely. An 8:00–11:00 call in Austin is 19:00–22:00 in Lahore in winter and 18:00–21:00 in summer. We meet early in your day, then keep building through your night, so feedback you give on Monday morning is usually in a test build by Tuesday morning.
With us, focused MVPs typically start in the mid five figures, while full platforms with several apps and an admin panel run into six. In Texas, two features often change the budget: subscriptions, which need server-side receipt checks and a paywall you can test, and any biometric feature beyond the phone's own Face ID, which needs consent and retention flows under CUBI. We price both separately in USD.
Since July 2024, the TDPSA gives Texans rights to access, correct, delete and opt out of the sale of their data, and requires consent before processing sensitive data such as health or precise location. We build the privacy notice links, rights-request flows and consent screens into the app, and keep a record of what data goes where. Your counsel confirms the final wording.
Using the phone's built-in Face ID, Touch ID or Android biometrics is low risk: the biometric stays on the device and the app only receives a yes or no. Capturing faces, fingerprints or voiceprints yourself is different — Texas's CUBI law requires informing users and getting consent first, and limits how long the data is kept. We design for the on-device approach wherever it works.
